dikgaolo - a conceptual collection

With this collection I attempt to think about the lived, embodied experience in the cultural milieu I was raised in - SeSotho in the Eastern Free State. I interpret the symbols and meanings through meticulous textile manipulation. 

The collection comprises 12 dresses, some of which will be unstitched and converted into textile art.
